Yoo Jae Chul
JC (Jae Chul) Yoo is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sungkyunkwan University, Samsung Medical Center, Chief of Shoulder and Elbow Division, He is currently President of Korean Shoulder Elbow Society.
Dr. Yoo did his undergraduate from Northwestern University in 1989, his MD in Korea University, School of Medicine, completed his Orthopaedic Residency training at the Korea University in 1994.
Dr. Yoo’s clinical and basic science research program focuses on biomechanics, subscapularis tendon tears and rotator cuff tears, also in Asian leading shoulder arthroplasty surgeries and research.
Dr. Yoo has published three book chapters and has authored over 120 original peer reviewed articles, review articles and case reports.
He has organized an Asian Shoulder Elbow Group (ASEG, which are the leading surgeons in ASIA), and is an active board member of Asian Shoulder Elbow Association and APKASS.
He is currently the vice-Chair of the Korean Sports Medicine Society and Editorial board of Arthroscopy and American Journal of Sports Medicine Journal.
